How We Use Personal Information

Personal information collected through the Careers Site, or otherwise in association with your application for employment, will be collected, used, stored, disclosed, and otherwise processed for Vylor’s global recruitment purposes and for related business purposes, as permitted by applicable law, including the following purposes:

How We Disclose Personal Information

Vylor may disclose personal information with affiliates that are involved in evaluating candidates for a given position. Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. and the local affiliate to which you submit your application will remain responsible for the personal information collected. Your personal information will be reviewed by Vylor employees or agents who have a business need to access such personal information and may include recruiters, human resources personnel, technical services (information technology) personnel, and managers or their designees.

We may share personal information about you with selected service providers or consultants acting on our behalf, such as third parties assisting Vylor with the hosting and operation of the Careers Site, recruiting assistance, background check processing, and similar services. These third parties will be required to use appropriate measures to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information.

Vylor may also disclose personal information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate for the purposes described in this Applicant Notice to Vylor employees, service providers, consultants, public and governmental authorities, and other third parties as required and permitted under applicable law.

Vylor’s Use of Artificial Intelligence

Talent Acquisition at Vylor uses technology by Eightfold AI. This technology employs artificial intelligence tools (“AI Tools”) to help predict how well you match our open job positions. These AI Tools use a matching model based on factors such as the skills specified in the job description for which you have applied.

These AI Tools may be considered covered automated employment decision tools or automated decision-making tools as defined under applicable law. However, we do not make final hiring decisions solely based on AI Tools. Our hiring processes and decisions, including determining your suitability for a role, are conducted, checked, and decided by individuals.

The AI Tools compare information about you with information that Vylor provides about the job you are applying for and generate a score to reflect how well you may match the position. The categories of personal information the tool processes may include your job titles, work experience, education history, skills, and text of your resume or job application. The AI Tools compare this against the job description, posting, and the recruiter’s preferences for the job, such as, desired skills, experience level, or educational background. The AI Tools use machine learning to generate a score that reflects how closely your information aligns with the specific job’s requirements and includes information on how the score was derived for the recruiter to review. This information provides one input, but the recruiter exercises independent judgment in deciding which candidates to advance, interview, and ultimately hire.

More information about Eightfold’s AI Tools can be found here.

You may access the New York City (Local Law 144) independent bias audit findings for the Eightfold AI tool here.

Vylor retains personal information related to AI Tools as set out in this Vylor Applicant Privacy Notice.
